Planning to travel and use your debit card? There are states that are restricted to PIN transactions, only*.

They are; Florida, Texas, and California. No debit card transactions are allowed out of the U.S.

In today’s busy schedule, sometimes it’s hard getting to the Credit Union during working hours. Does that unexpected emergency catch you needing to leave town, but without the cash the plans get delayed? Let your Lauderdale County Teachers Credit Union VISA debit card help take the difficulty out of your daily needs. The Visa debit card is used just like a check, but with more convenience. The money will be taken from your checking account as a debit. The transaction will be one of (2) ways:

Either way, the money is deducted from the checking account. No more worrying about bounced checks.

Your debit card can be used at any ATM where Visa is accepted. There are no fees when you use your card at our ATM machine located on 103 Mangum Street, Florence, AL.

There are no hidden fees or charges for the card. It’s your money, your account; use it when and where you want, 24 hours a day.

As with a check, always record each transaction in your checkbook register for balancing purposes.

To apply for a debit card, come by the office during regular business hours. Allow 7 to 10 days for the card to arrive.

Please note:  If traveling in Florida, California or Texas, you will be required to use your PIN for ALL transactions.  Debit cards cannot be used outside of the United States.  Temporary Debit Cards are also available.
